Healthier and active lifestyle for 50+ people

Ah! I am nearing my 50s and already know I need a healthier lifestyle to stay active once I reach 50 and plus. I am sure lots of you guys must also have realized the importance of being healthy and active once we are 50, the main reason being our lazy and health care free lifestyles make us face health problems.
We all want to stay healthy all our age, as we grow older many changes start to occur affecting our active lifestyle, from joint problems to poor digestive system, from poor eyesight to fatigued muscles. But all these health issues can be taken care of by making slight changes in your habits and living more healthier and active lifestyle. Here are few quick things one should start doing either if one is 50 or plus.

Major changes that start affecting your health

The natural life cycle does not stop, facts of life are realities that you should understand and accept. After many researches it was very obvious that our health declines due to transitions and changes happening around us in our routine life. Being fifty means that you have spent almost half of your life, during this period many lose their parents, come across accidents, children grow up get married and move away to other cities for better jobs and a bright future and above all you reach a retired age, all these factors unconsciously start declining your health and your active lifestyle. It is very import to accept transitions in life,accept them and find a formula for healthier and active lifestyle.  There are many misconceptions about ageing. Generally people think that with ageing they will face declining health naturally, or will face some kind of disability. Maybe they will suffer from memory loss and will not be able to learn anymore, well guys all these are mental phases or should I put it like this that leaving hope and will power will eventually make all above problems can affect you more easily.  Here is a quick checklist to follow fro a healthier and active lifestyle for over 50

Be grateful for the things that are around you

Remember you are reaching a half life milestone of 50 years, many of your friends did not, so cherish and enjoy every moment of life, and be grateful to things that life has given you

Express your feelings

Don’t hide your feelings, express them more openly, they will be heard and honored.

There are things you can not change accept them

Since you are trying to achieve things all your life, few you have won and many you could not achieve don’t try hard to set your goal for those now.

Find a passion for yourself

Don’t think you have reached 50 and are a retired person who will stay home, find a passion or an activity of interest, an activity you wanted to do but the busy life routine, taking care of job, bills and other stresses kept you away from it.

Start making daily goals rather set long term goals

Try and set goals on a daily basis and don’t set long term goals now, as they will give you mental stress and affect your healthier lifestyle.  Volunteer yourself to public charity work, plan to see a movie in the evening, meet an old friend, or read three pages of the book you hated all your life. Lol .

Make a healthy tweak list of every day routine

Your healthier and active lifestyle list should include, morning walks, healthy eating habits, regular exercise plan, searching for healthier lifestyle tips.

Join a club

It will be a best idea to join a community club and make new friends and share your life experiences with them, listen to their experiences and be a support. Plan activities with them like fishing on weekends, group morning walk, window shopping together and having coffee in shopping malls, there could be no end to your fun life.

Plan a travel

Brilliant idea isn’t it guys, you can plan a travel with your family or friends, explore new places to relax and meet new people. Take lots of photographs to show your friends what fun you had.

Develop activity rituals

Try to come up with ideas of rituals for activities like taking a warm bath while listening to soothing meditation music and then lay in your bed and read a few pages of a book before soundly sleeping in your quite dark bed room. Preparing proper table for your favorite healthy meal.

So folk the key to a healthier and active lifestyle is to be happy and make changes in your routine life from healthy eating habits to regular exercise, from my daily activity plans to help in community work I have started these tweaks in my life and hey already I feel so different but very happy. So live every moment of your life with a smile.
